Here's another Drum Corps 101 class - this time on Brass. The attached recording from the 1969 World Open of the St. Rita's Brassmen will show you just how talented they were back in the day... bugles only had one valve, and there were probably several types used today that weren't in service back then. Again recording equipement was archaic to today's standards and the corps started in one end zone and finshed in the opposite. But the Off-the-line musical score by St. Rita's is one of the all time greats!!! Turn up your volume, kick back and enjoy some really great, talented kids... St. Rita's was a annual finalist at the big shows, always seeming to get into the top ten...
